Accommodation & Resort Review General Description of Limone sul Garda A very attractive, compact former fishing village that has managed to retain much of its old-world charm, in some part due to the fact that it was only connected to its neighbours by road and tunnels in 1932. It is famous for its olive oil and lemons, although its name actually comes from the Latin for "border" (limen) rather than the citrus fruit. The main, older part of town – with its narrow, twisting, cobbled streets lined with shops – stretches from the tiny old port (Porto Vecchio) in the N to the new port (Porto Nuovo) in the S, with a pedestrianised lakeside promenade running between the two. From this main hub, development spreads mainly S-wards into the hills, with much of the accommodation situated in this area rather than around the old town. Market Suitability; Mid- to up-market, young to middle aged. Walkers and water-sports enthusiasts, the hilly terrain probably makes it unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems or families with small children. All

The Hotel All'Azzurro is well located for the resort centre and the
ferry departure point. Swimming is available at a small area of shingle
public beach adjacent to the hotel. Some rooms are in the adjacent
annexe and some, in the main building, have sloping ceilings and low
windows. A pleasant evening drink on the terrace is enhanced by live
music until 11.00pm (from mid-May).
Overview; The Sole is a family-run hotel enjoying a superb
location by the lake and near the centre of the resort. It is a short
stroll to the tennis courts and the public beach is approx. 3 minutes'
walk. Rooms at the front face the lively waterfront, those at the rear
have a quieter outlook to trees. The bed and breakfast option allows
guests to sample the many and varied restaurants of Limone. The Sole
combines a friendly atmosphere with comfort and convenience.
The Berna comprises six adjacent buildings which are connected by
terraces and a bridge. There is a large open-plan dining room and bar
and the reception area is located between two of the buildings. Guests
at the Berna have free use of the large garden, with sunloungers, at the
nearby Hotel Sogno where the lawns lead down to the beach. The bedrooms
vary in style and size and will be located in any one of the five
buildings. The Berna is well run and is well located for both the lake
and the resort centre.
Overview; Built into the rocks, this pleasant hotel offers superb
views over the rooftops of the village below and to the far shores of
the lake. Access to the harbour and resort centre is down approximately
107 steps directly below the hotel. The Castell, with its friendly
staff, is a great favourite with our customers many of whom return each
year.

Overview: The Lido has an unsurpassed tranquil location virtually
right on the beach yet only approximately 5 minutes walk to the resort
centre. The outdoor pool is pleasantly surrounded by shady trees.
Family-run, this delightful hotel charms its guests with its friendly
service. Tennis courts and a windsurf school are within walking distance.
The front entrance to the hotel is on the top floor and a lift connects
with the terrace and outdoor pool. A second pool is located by a small
lakeside beach. Some rooms are at ground level with poolside terrace.
Overview: The Hotel Le Palme was the very first hotel in Limone
and was converted from an 17th century villa. It has been carefully
renovated over the years retaining much of its original charm. It enjoys
a really convenient position right on the lakeside next to the ferry
landing stage. There is a lovely lakeside terrace and an enjoyable piano
bar every evening and the friendly staff add to the atmosphere. Our
guests may use the facilities at the Hotel Panorama reached by minibus.
Overview: The Hotel Panorama is set in a spectacular location
overlooking Lake Garda. A free minibus service to the resort centre is
available at set times from 9am until midnight and the local bus stops
outside. There are steps from the pool area down to the beach. The
restaurant and lounge, with satellite TV, both command beautiful views
over the lake and there is a pool grill bar (Jun-Sep).
Overview: A fine property set in a beautiful location on the
shores of Lake Garda. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery of the lake and
mountains, this pleasant and relaxing property offers superb
accommodation and a range of health and sports facilities. The Leonardo
Da Vinci is a large, modern hotel complex built on terraces around four
outdoor pools, with a pool bar serving snacks. The hotel has its own
lido and beach bar across the road with entertainment and activities
such as windsurfing and pedaloes available.
Overview: A sister hotel to the popular Cristina, the San Pietro
enjoys a scenic hillside location above the town of Limone. The hotel
consists of a cluster of buildings linked by open-air corridors and
stairways and shares an outdoor pool and a reception area with the
adjacent Cristina. Rooms at the San Pietro are exceptionally spacious
and all face towards the lake, though the many trees and shrubs of this
complex may not always permit a clear lake view.
Overview: This small hotel has just been completely renovated and
has rooms of superior 4 star quality. The à la carte restaurant offers a
high standard of cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients wherever

Overview: Limone’s finest hotel is situated in a quiet garden
above the resort centre and about 300 metres from the lake. It offers
exclusive, personalised service and some very fine spa facilities.
Overview: This friendly, family-run hotel enjoys glorious views
over Limone and the lake. The village centre is just 200 metres away - a
short, but quite steep walk through the picturesque, narrow streets.
Overview: This small hotel is conveniently situated close to the
centre of Limone. Its gardens run down to a lakeside beach and it is
next door to its sister hotel, the Berna, where guests have access to
the pool facilities.
