Rome, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast

A tour designed to give you a flavour of the ancient and modern, to experience the hustle of city life in Rome and the tranquillity of the Amalfi coast. Fly to Rome where you’ll have time to explore this ancient city and its sights or maybe just relax over a leisurely dinner. After breakfast on day 2 you’ll have a full mornings escorted sightseeing tour taking in amongst others the magnificent St Peters Basilica, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. After lunch you’ll take the drive down to Sorrento which will be your base for the next 5 nights.

From this beautiful location you’re ideally based to take in the sights of the region. Included are tours of the Amalfi coast with visits to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello with spectacular views along costal drive. A visit to Pompeii, the legendary Roman colony frozen in time has to be one of the highlights of your stay. Enjoy the included guided tour taking in the town’s shops, villas, amphitheatre and forum before meeting some of the city's former residents!

Optional excursions to the island of Capri and city of Naples are available to complete your stay in Sorrento before taking the drive back to Rome where you’ll spend a further night in this fabulous city with the chance of an optional floodlit tour of the city.
